With a wired or wireless network, you must consider security policies that will protect your computers from unauthorized acccess to your files. Let’s take a look at what you should include in a wireless network security profile.
Wired networks are physically secured unless connected to the Internet. Firewalls should be installed and configured correctly to prevent intrusion.
For wireless networks, activate 802.11 encryption to make data unintelligible to unauthorized users. WEP encrypts data traversing the wireless link between your device and the access point making it virtually impossible to access your data or piggyback your Internet access.
